What exactly is a "CDMA" Phone

There are two main types of network technologies for phone service CDMA and GSM. CDMA stands for Code Division Multiple Access and is widely used in the United States and parts of Asia. A CDMA phone is simply a phone that can run on a CDMA network architecure and not a GSM architecture. So if your phone is a T-mobile phone or AT&T phone chances are since those are GSM carriers your phone is not a CDMA phone.

Sprint, Verizon, and Virgin Mobile are the three largest CDMA phone carriers. If you have a phone from these manufacturers then you have a CDMA phone that is compatible with our service.
